The Disabilities and Human Rights Group invites you to mark the UN International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3, 2013.

This year's theme is: “Break barriers, open doors: for an inclusive society for all”.

Participate in this exciting initiative! Share your personal experiences to encourage the broader community.

It’s easy:

1. Write down the name and location of a community organization where you have been treated with dignity and respect.
2. Add 2 – 3 sentences about what made the experience so special
3. Email the information to Nancy Cherry at ncherry@waterlooregion.org no later than Friday, November 22, 2013.

The Social Planning Council of Kitchener-Waterloo will publicize the information.

At our regular December 4th meeting, the Disabilities and Human Rights Group members will sign congratulatory cards for mailing to those organizations noted by participants.
